Our two locations are Brewton Alabama and Theodore Alabama.
We mainly provide wind turbine components to our customer that encompasses anything from welded brackets, wood platforms and rework.
Position Overview The Service Technician 1 must be a reliable person who can be depended upon to be at work regularly and on timeMust be available for mandatory Overtime and weekends when customer needs ariseRead, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately work on equipment and productsMust understand and be able to maintain and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems for wind turbine internalUtilize a variety of handheld tools, such as drills, grinders, tape measures, gauges, and hand toolsGood verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to document and submit inspection and repair reports and communicate needs to Senior Service SpecialistPerform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards and identify product defectsIt is essential that this position is performed at the facility and onsiteMaintain a safe, clean, and orderly work areaOther duties as assigned ResponsibilitiesFollow Company Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA Guidelines, and use proper PPEEnsure the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required workFollow work instructions for preparing parts to be painted and paint to customer and SDS specificationsAssist other technicians in skilled duties that may include sandblasting, running overhead cranes or operating heavy machineryComplete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis Other job duties as directed by Senior Services Specialist or General Manager QualificationsPossess a High School Diploma or equivalentBasic Mechanical AptitudeAble to read and interpret work instructionsFluent in both written and spoken EnglishPerform basic Math skills and can accurately read/use a tape measureAble to successfully interface with a computer to access manufacturing shop floor control systemAble to identify and operated basic hand tools and small power toolsPassion for doing a job wellAble to work overtime as neededA self-motivated team playerAble to perform essential job requirements, as identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 poundsWork in Variable TemperaturesAble to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easilyPass visual testAble to travel to customer sitesMust be an insurable driverMust pass a federal background check and drug test PI96969ff3f938-29952-33177605Salary:
