Theodore, AL ABOUT FRONTIER TECHNOLOGIESFrontier Technologies specializes in Energy, Services, Logistics, and Engineering. Our two locations are Brewton Alabama and Theodore Alabama. We mainly provide wind turbine components to our customer that encompasses anything from welded brackets, wood platforms and rework.Position Overview The Service Technician 1 must be a reliable person who can be depended upon to be at work regularly and on time Must be available for mandatory Overtime and weekends when customer needs arise Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately work on equipment and products Must understand and be able to maintain and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems for wind turbine internal Utilize a variety of handheld tools, such as drills, grinders, tape measures, gauges, and hand tools Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to document and submit inspection and repair reports and communicate needs to Senior Service Specialist Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards and identify product defects It is essential that this position is performed at the facility and onsite Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area Other duties as assigned Responsibilities Follow Company Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA Guidelines, and use proper PPE Ensure the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required work Follow work instructions for preparing parts to be painted and paint to customer and SDS specifications Assist other technicians in skilled duties that may include sandblasting, running overhead cranes or operating heavy machinery Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis Other job duties as directed by Senior Services Specialist or General Manager Qualifications Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent Basic Mechanical Aptitude Able to read and interpret work instructions Fluent in both written and spoken English Perform basic Math skills and can accurately read/use a tape measure Able to successfully interface with a computer to access manufacturing shop floor control system Able to identify and operated basic hand tools and small power tools Passion for doing a job well Able to work overtime as needed A self-motivated team player Able to perform essential job requirements, as identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pounds Work in Variable Temperatures Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily Pass visual test Able to travel to customer sites Must be an insurable driver Must pass a federal background check and drug test PI0a7a586ae2ea-25448-33177605 Recommended Skills Blueprinting Communication Control Systems Customer Demand Planning Drilling Operations Electrical Installation Work Apply to this job.
