Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will provide support for Engineer to Order (ETO) products manufactured at my client's facility in Theodore, AL. The chosen candidate will utilize their extensive expertise in manufacturing and welding processes to enhance plant efficiencies and meet site objectives, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and production. This position requires full-time on-site presence.Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
Planning, organizing, and implementing systems and procedures to improve manufacturing production. Conducting cause and effect studies and implementing corrective measures. Evaluating production processes to enhance product consistency, standardize work procedures, and streamline workflow. Introducing Lean concepts throughout the plant, such as 5S, Visual Work, and Kanban. Developing and managing technical training programs for production employees. Ensuring effective communication of all aspects of new product introductions and changes to existing products to stakeholders. Coordinating technical information across various departments for specific projects. Managing capital equipment projects, including identifying equipment enhancements, ensuring timely delivery, and staying within budget. Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Your Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical fields.Your Professional Experience Should Include:
Minimum of 6
years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering roles. Hands-on experience with welding and fabrication processes. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and ProE. Experience with Inventor or SolidWorks is preferred. Understanding of factory metrics and Lean principles (Operational Excellence), with Six Sigma experience considered a plus.
