Refigeration/Diesel Mechanic
Summary: Repair and inspect company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.
Refigeration/Diesel Mechanic
Responsibilities:
Routine and preventative maintenance.
Build, rebuild and repair all parts of equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to.
Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, other breakdown or failure.
Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems.
Engine repair and overhaul.
Inspect equipment used
Read precision instruments.
Micrometers, dial indicators, bored gauges, etc.
When applicable use welding skills.
Other duties may be assigned
Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:
Required:
Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 3
years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
Must furnish own tools.
Valid drive license
Preferred:
Mechanical or trade school certificate
Experience with Carrier or Thermo King transport refigeration and bus air conditiong equipment.
ASE certificate
Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
