Area Branch Manager Trainee
Airgas South, subsidiary of Airgas the nations leading distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases and welding supplies, has an Area Branch Manager Trainee position available in the West Alabama area based out of Theodore, AL.
Overview:
The Area Branch Manager Trainee will participate in a comprehensive training opportunity that will give them a working knowledge of our industry, our customers and our organization.
The training is designed around branch oriented operations and deliverables.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
oAttend and successfully complete all training opportunities provided by Airgas in this development role oLearn and administer safety policies and procedures in accordance with regional, SAFECOR, local, state and federal guidelines oAnswer customer inquiries in accordance with Airgas Customer Service principles oEnter customer orders in SAP system oPull and package customer orders oReceive inventory and process as necessary oReconcile cash and bank deposit oReconcile open order edit list, quote list, purchase order report by item, selected order edit list oAdditional responsibilities as assigned by Management MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND
Experience:
oBachelor's degree preferred, combination of college training and experience will be considered oProficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint oExperience with SAP is a plus oAbility to handle multiple tasks concurrently oAbility to work independently oProfessional communication skills (verbal and written) oBasic product knowledge of welding, safety, gases and supplies is preferred oKnowledge and understanding of financial accounting terms and principals including Gross Margin, Gross Margin %, Operating Income, Return On Investment (ROI), Internal Rate of Return, Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement oProfessional phone skills oForklift experience is preferred oProficiency in time management and organization skills oStrong leadership skills oAstute problem solving skills and administrative accuracy oThe duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
