Welder



Summary


This welding postions is in Cryogenics for our trailer line¬ and requires advanced knowledge to¬ set up and make adjustments to welding machines as needed to maintain acceptable production and quality. The advanced ability to self-inspect all parts for defects and welds to ensure quality product. Must be a Welder, Fabricator, and Fitter with the ability to read prints and detailed drawings.¬  Ensures that welds conform ASME and DOT standards.¬ Must be able to weld in all positions, and¬ have the ability to function as a team member, establish and maintain effective working relationships.



Responsibilities



  • Ability to weld MIG and TIG Aluminum, Stainless,¬ and Carbon¬ (required).

  • Must understand process parameter settings; amperages, voltages, pre-heat, inter-pass temperatures and post heat requirements.

  • Able to layout, cut, and prepare for pressure vessel and piping fabrication.

  • Familiar with filler wire selection and acceptable weld preparation techniques.

  • Have working knowledge of weld procedural requirements and safety requirements for the accomplishment of tasks.

  • Fabricate, assemble and or/ repair pressure vessels fabricated in compliance with blueprints and or/ engineering requirements.¬ 

  • Lay out and fabricate metal structural parts such as plates, fittings, frames; bracing them in position for welding.



Desired Experience



  • Experience welding in accordance to a quality code such as ASME section IX, ASME B31.1 or ASME B31.3

  • Experience in pipe welding preferred

  • 5+ years equivalent work experience

  • Preferred certificate or undergraduate degree from a technical school, vocational school, or community college



Education


High School Diploma or equivalent

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
