Aluminum Pipe Welder


The aluminum pipe welder is responsible for set-up and operation of advanced welding equipment. This position uses expertise to solve problems. The skilled aluminum pipe welder must be experienced in both TIG/MIG welding on aluminum, bending/fitting pipe, and sheet metal layout.. The aluminum pipe welder is also responsible for operating robotic welding machines as needed and for making sure all work is done to specification. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.


  • Ability to weld MIG and TIG Aluminum, Stainless, and Carbon (required).
  • Ability to weld aluminum pip proficiently and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Inspects finished product for completeness and conformance to all quality assurance procedures.
  • Must be aware of and adhere to all safety regulations. This includes wearing the proper protective clothing and following OSHA guidelines.
  • Must understand process parameter settings; amperages, voltages, pre-heat, inter-pass temperatures and post heat requirements. Sets up, troubleshoots and makes advanced adjustments welding machines as needed to maintain good production and quality.
  • Able to layout, cut, and prepare for pressure vessel and piping fabrication.
  • Familiar with filler wire selection and acceptable weld preparation techniques.
  • Fabricate, assemble and or/ repair pressure vessels fabricated in compliance with blueprints and or/ engineering requirements.
  • Lay out and fabricate metal structural parts such as plates, fittings, frames; bracing them in position for welding.
  • Prior to assembly, pipe welders clamp and cut piping and apply primers to metallic surfaces.
  • Maintain piping systems including the installing and building pipe hangers, valves, and supports
  • Participates in improvement planning modification of weld procedures to increase safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience

  • Experience welding in accordance to a quality code such as ASME section IX, ASME B31. 1 or ASME B31. 3
  • Experience in aluminum pipe welding required
  • 5+ years welding experience
  • Preferred certificate or undergraduate degree from a technical school, vocational school, or community college


High School Diploma or equivalent

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
