Materials Supervisor



Summary


As a Materials Supervisor at our Theodore, AL facility, you will direct the activities of the warehouse, shipping & receiving department and ensures production schedules and quality standards are met. This position is responsible for the safety and administration of company policies to all employees in the department. The Materials Supervisor assists in the hiring process for department as well as succession planning. Key position results include but are not limited to controlling of costs for department; maintaining of training records and performance evaluations for department; meeting of the department's production schedules and quality standards; maintaining of department's safety record; and ensuring the department goals are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure that daily production operations are running effectively and efficiently. 



Responsibilities



  • Oversees and ensures safety of team.

  • Communicates and oversees the production schedule for the warehouse.  This includes kitting, parts supply and production demand. 

  • Responsible for maintaining the quality standards of the department.

  • Identify and address or elevate parts supply issues as they arise. 

  • Responsible for various management reporting and maintenance of ERP system. 

  • Creates and administers practices and procedures to ensure efficient operations of department. 

  • Responsible for continuous improvement and cost control of the group, prepares material and presents at weekly meetings. 

  • Supervises employees including trains employees, updates records, writes and presents employee evaluations, assists in hiring for department, sets goals and tracks progress of department.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office)

  • ERP system experience (JD Edwards preferred)

  • Basic financial understanding

  • Strong ability to prioritize/delegate

  • Analysis, critical thinking and investigation skills

  • Work and interact with all levels of employees

  • Self-starter that is adept at taking initiative

  • 1-2 years supervisory experience



Education


High School Diploma or equivalent

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
